Fabricio Gava is a fintech strategist, product executive, and founder of Kobaru, where he leads the development of x402—an HTTP-native payment protocol designed to enable programmable, machine-to-machine commerce on blockchain infrastructure.

With over a decade of experience in financial technology, Fabricio specializes in payment systems architecture, fintech regulation and compliance, and API-first product development. His expertise bridges technical implementation and business strategy, with deep knowledge of blockchain payments, developer experience design, and institutional-grade financial infrastructure.

Fabricio's academic background combines technology, finance, and innovation research. He holds a Master's degree from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), one of Latin America's leading research institutions, where his thesis explored the application of machine learning models to business strategy and technical innovation. This multidisciplinary foundation in computer science, finance, and AI research directly informs his work building payment infrastructure.

As an advocate for open payment standards and developer-first infrastructure, he writes about API monetization, payment protocol design, and the intersection of blockchain technology and traditional finance.

His work at Kobaru focuses on making programmable payments accessible to developers through simple, production-ready APIs.
